Dear Staff,
This seems to be the question I hear so often here in the library. It has been a number of month since I have been able to write to all of you. The library has a few changes as books and journals online have been added. Please feel free to look this over and let me know what you think.
Also, there is a problem with the firewalls here at Euclid and I cannot get into the catalog to add or revise information presented unless I go home and do it at night. Therefore there are two new CME activities that are not on the schedule yet.
December 3 - Dr. Gebel from the Cleveland Clinic main campus will be speaking on Stroke.
December 10 - Greg Kilway from our own ITD will be speaking on My Practice and the other interlocking
databases.
The 2010 Clinical Conferences will start on January 7. If anyone has topics or wishes to present a topic of their own, please contact me at jtallman@cchseast.org or at 216-692-7727. You can always come down to my office which is by the Medical Staff Office and tell me your suggestions.
Next year there will be more journals online and we hope to have more of you familiar with how to access the catalog from off campus so you can know it is there for you anywhere.
If I do not have time to write again before the end of the year, I wish all of you Happy Holidays and safe travel as you visit family and friends.

Summer time, but fall is coming
Dear Staff,
I am very excited with the number of you that have been visiting the catalog and the other links that are available on this site. I do hope you find that 'one stop shopping' is easy and convienent for you. If you wish to have other links or find there are websites you are in need of and wish to have added, please let me know.
Please take a look at the fall Continuing Medical Education schedule as I think the variety will please many of you. The CME committee thanks you for your suggestions. Please feel free to suggest a topic and if you would like to present at the Grand Rounds, send me your name, contact information, and topic. Our next CME meeting is October 13, 2009.
Hope you are enjoying your summer. Feel free to stop by the library with any questions you may have with the catalog, links, or your own research.

Dear Staff,
As I am writing to you after such a long time, I do apologize. Right now I am at the Health Fair in the cafeteria and am very happy that so many of you have stopped by the library table to inquire about the online service. If you are reading this you have found the online catalog. Welcome!
If you have any questions or want more information please do not hesitate to call me at x 67727 or email me at jtallman@cchseast.org.
Thank you all and happy researching!

Returning down the yellow brick road
Dear Staff,
They tell me spring is not far off and after turning my clock up an hour this past weekend, I hope they are correct. I have been putting together some ideas for a CME for April 16 as I will be going over some of the information that I presented last October and introducing EBSCO A-Z. Some of the items at the end of my talk last October were hurried, so I will try to give them some more time to show you what is on these websites. I believe you will also be very excited as you will see how many things are going to be at your fingertips on the floors, at home, or at your local library. I have added some more CE sections for the nurses. Most of these are free, but otherwise it is stated before you begin. I have gone to these databases and they are functional at this moment, if late they go astray, let me know and I will try to see what the problem is.
Looking forward to seeing you in April and if I can help you, please do not hesitate in sending an email or calling. jtallman@cchseast.org or 216-692-7727 (67727)

2009, up and running
Dear Staff,
Am sorry it has taken me so long to get back to talk with you, but the new year got off to a roaring start. PDRs and Nursing Drug Handbooks have been ordered and should be here by the end of the week. I hopefully will have them all to you by next week.
Am hoping that more of you will be using the catalog and seeing it holds more than just the contents of the library here at Euclid. We have over 200 databases on the catalog, as well as over 5,000 books and journals. EBSCO A-Z will be going onto the catalog shortly and this will help everyone access journals and a number of them also.
Marketing is in the process of printing off cards that can fit into your pocket to give you the addresses for this catalog and the different databases. It also will give you the addresses for del.icio.us, Google.docs, and hotsheet.com. I hope you will see the benefits of these three websites and be able to use them in your work and homelife.
If there are any questions or comments, please send them to me at jtallman@cchseast.org.
